Daily Praise and Prayers

April 21, 2024

• Please keep the Flamm family in prayer as Dave continues his battle with cancer. Prayers for strength, comfort, wisdom and guidance in all this battle entails. Pray also for wisdom for his doctors.
• Praise for little Gavin who was able to ride a bike for the first time since cancer took part of his leg.
• Prayers for all Middlecreekers who are fighting a bug that has visited many of our members.

• Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

April 20, 2024

• Cathy R.’s grandson Chase saw the Cardiologist on Friday and he feels that Chase’s problems are not as bad as first reported.  More test scheduled for next week. Please keep him and the doctors in prayer. Will update as information becomes available.
• Becca’s Aunt Pat had her second surgery and they were able to successfully finish connecting everything so that she should be able to eat regular food again. This will be done in steps. Praise the Lord.  Please continue prayers.

• Praise: Annette is home from the hospital but still needs our prayers for continued healing.
• Pastor Joe’s dad Joe as he goes for treatment for Prostrate Cancer.
• Debbie R. as she battles migraine issues.
• Aunt Pat as she is in the Cleveland Clinic for her second procedure.
• Middlecreek as many members are ill with various ailments.
• Betty Lou as she has an appointment on Friday with a Cardio doctor for tests.  Pray for peace, wisdom and guidance.

• Prayers for Aunt Pat as she is back at the Cleveland hospital. Not sure of details but God knows the issues.

• UPDATE: God is hearing your prayers!  Annette is being released today from the hospital!!! 5 days sooner than they expected.  She is going to need continued prayers and will have limitations during the rest of her recovery time.  The family cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH for the prayers that you offered their sweet little girl.

• UPDATE: Annette has been transferred to a step down unit and is out of ICU. Progress is very good. This week has been difficult but she is a trooper.  Continued prayers for her long recovery.  THANK YOU all for your prayers.

• LisaAnn is asking for prayers for the family of Jonathan Diller who was killed in the line of duty. While preforming a traffic stop he was shot by the driver and died on scene.  He is survived by his wife and 9 month old son Ryan as well as his parents.

March 24, 2024

• Yvonne is asking for prayers for Gavin B. as he had to have more surgery on his leg.  Doctors are unsure as to why it is not healing so they cannot fit him for a new prosthesis. The family and Gavin are so depressed.
• Betty Lou C. is asking for prayers for her family as the enemy is causing havoc in the family.  Pray also for Betty Lou as she misses her Middlecreek family.
• Continued prayers for Becca as the doctors determine the causes for these migraines.
• Prayers for Middlecreek for spiritual, emotional, health, and financial issues. 
• Pray for those affected by the bombing in the arena in Russia as well as the families of the victims. Pray for the conflict between the Ukraine and Russia.  
• Pray for those in Haiti affected by the uprising.
• Prayers for Israel, Gaza and Palestine and the hostages, those facing starvation from the lack of food and water.  Pray for God’s intervention.

March 21, 2024

• Linda A. is asking for prayer for her & Ray’s  friends, Jane and John, as their daughter passed away yesterday from cancer. Pray for peace and comfort now that her struggle is over. Thank you.
• Prayer is needed again for Annette whom we have prayed for in the past.  She was born with only half a heart.  She is now 4 years old and will be having, what the doctors hope, her last open-heart surgery.  It will be on Good Friday, March 29th, at CHOP.  The surgery will be anywhere between 8 to 12 hours, so please keep Annette and the whole surgical team in your prayers. Recovery will be long, at least 2 weeks in CHOP, so please hold the family in prayer, as many scheduling of day-to-day things need to happen for her parents, her 7 year old brother and her grandparents, who will be attending to him. Thank you.

• Becca needs prayers as she is having constant migraines which have increased in severity.  She had a spinal tap on Friday and has not been able to do anything due to these migraines.  She has called the doctor and is waiting for answers.

• Please pray for Maria, Nidia’s daughter. She was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and it’s now affecting her joints badly. It is an autoimmune disease that also affects her nail beds and hair and flares when she is stressed, which Maria has been experiencing due to the loss of her mom, Nidia, and now trying to get her house fixed. Please pray for Maria as she deals with this awful disease. Also, please contact Gwen Haines if you know of any reliable contractors that could provide estimates for her as she attempts to get a loan and get the house fixed. • Becca’s Aunt Pat’s surgery was a success.  She will be in ICU for a few days just as a precaution. Thank you for all your prayers. She will be returning to the Cleveland Clinic in 3 month’s for another procedure. Please continue to keep her and the family in prayer.  

February 23, 2024

• Becca’s Aunt Pat is at the Cleveland Clinic. Her surgery is scheduled for noon and is expected to take eight hours. Please keep all the doctors, nurses,  and others involved in this operation in prayer.  Also pray for peace for Aunt Pat, my mom & dad and me also.
• Dave received his first chemo on Friday. Other than having a horrible time finding a vein, the treatment went well. He was a bit weary on Saturday, but by Sunday, he was much better, and we were able to walk to church.
       The treatment plan will be chemo and immunotherapy for one week, followed by chemo the second week. This is followed by two weeks off, and the whole thing starts again. Following the third set, Dave will have another CT scan. Bladder cancer is hard to track, so a CT is necessary to check progress and adjust treatment.
       Thank you for your prayers, and please continue. Pray there will be no trouble finding those veins. Pray there will be little/no side effects and that the treatment will be effective.
       We are so thankful for the many who pray, call, give, send cards and emails. The family of God is an incredible blessing! Blessings, David & Linda Flamm

February 11, 2024

• Debbie was taken to the ER yesterday. She needs a biopsy; pray about health issues.
• Gwen & John as they get ready to move John’s stepdad to an assisted living facility in Florida. Prayers for all parties involved.
• Becca’s Aunt Pat is back in the hospital in ICU (Septic’s) again, this may postpone her going to the Cleveland Clinic for her medical procedure.  Pray for all parties involved.  Pray for Becca also as her migraines have increased in severity. Pray for the doctors that they can pinpoint the cause and prescribe a treatment.

• Praise: Johnny’s medical issues have improved and he is still on no medicines.  He gives all the praise to God and thanks all for their prayers which he asks you to continue.

February 10, 2024

• Amber Stein, a single mom dealing with domestic abuse, drugs, alcohol, (she isn’t doing the drugs) not having the “right” people as her support group. A friend is asking her to find a church for help getting her in to a support group and maybe even help her with other things. Please pray she finds God and follows in that right path with the girls. 
• Palmer Emmert, 2 month old baby girl needing to have cataract surgery on Wednesday. The doctors say this used to be a rare condition in babies but it is getting more common. It is much better to find it in an infant than a child. The baby won’t remember any of this. The family is very scared!
• Kim (no last name, but God knows it) She is in her 50’s and has lung cancer which has metastasized to her brain. She’s receiving treatment, but has been told it’s terminal.

• Pat S. is asking for prayers for George as he has been diagnosed with Prostate cancer. Pray for comfort, peace, wisdom, and guidance as to decisions they will need to make concerning treatments.
• Pray for guidance for Jan & Terry’s neighbor, Bryan, as he goes for an MRI on his spine. 
• Please keep Nancy & Terry C. in prayer as both are dealing with health issues.
• Prayers requested for the Flamm family as they deal with major health issues (cancer) as well as financial issues due to travel, rent and other burdens related to treatments.

• Carol N. is  asking for prayers for her nephew, Len. He went to Lehighton St Luke’s ER Tuesday morning in great pain and they in turn sent him down to Bethlehem’s St Luke’s where he currently is.  Len has a cyst which must be drained. He apparently has an infection from the last draining; they say his white blood cell count is through the roof. Please pray for guidance, peace and comfort for him. UPDATE: Len just walked in the door. The problem will apparently be an ongoing one.
